MEMORANDUM FOR GA156/CADETS
SUBJECT: PROMOTION REQUIRED - PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
As this unit progresses I feel that it is important that clear expectations of performance be set.
Typically a promotion requires: Pass a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Pass an Aerospace Module, Pass a Leadership Exam, Pass a Drill Exam, Recite Cadet Oath and Actively Participate over the 58 day waiting period.
Since the advent of the on-line testing modules, written exams are now open-book and timed.
Cadets are, beginning 1MAY2014, afforded one PFT opportunity per month on the first monthly meeting.
Drill evaluations are performed throughout all weekly meetings.
I must stress the importance of regular promotions for real success in this program.
As such, beginning with this memo, the expectation is every cadet will promote within a 100 day period. A cadet failing to achieve this standard may be, upon appeal, granted a waiver of 20 days to correct their performance before any corrective action is taken.
This memo is not intended to cause stress or fear, but is to set realistic and timely expectations of cadet performance.
Cadets are expected, as of the date of this memo, to log-in to E-Services and take the required exams for their current achievement.
For questions regarding how to log-in and take these exams please see http://capmembers.com/cadet_programs/new_cadet_help/
Remember, our goal is to have a strong BJC presence at GAWG Encampment 2014. Applications are now being accepted.
